September is flying by and before we know it, Halloween will be upon us! One of my favorite things is creating cute desserts, drinks, and little appetizers that celebrate this fun and spooky holiday.
These crackers have a nice garlic and herb flavor, sure to both please your guests and repel the vampires at your Halloween party. I first made these for my family and they loved them! These are super easy and most of the ingredients come right out of your spice cupboard. Give them a try!
Step 1:
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a sheet pan with parchment paper and spray the paper with cooking spray. Have another sheet pan and a second piece of parchment paper with cooking spray set aside.
Step 2:
Remove the crescent dough from the tube and roll it flat on a piece of parchment paper or cutting board. Use mini Halloween-shaped cookie cutters to cut the crescent dough into various shapes. Place all the shapes onto the parchment paper lined sheet pan. Take the second piece of parchment paper and lay the side with the cooking spray on top of the crescent pieces. Put the second baking sheet on top of the parchment paper and place in the oven for 12-15 minutes (you are looking for the bottoms to be light brown).
Step 3:
Remove the trays from the oven and set the top sheet pan and parchment paper aside. Place the crescent pieces back into the oven for 3-5 minutes to brown the tops.
Step 4:
In a microwave safe bowl, add the butter and heat in 5-10 second increments until fully melted. Add all the herbs and spices into a separate bowl and mix. Stir in the herb and spice mix into the melted butter.
Step 5:
Once the tops of the crescent pieces are a light, golden brown color, remove the pan from the oven and use either a pastry brush or a silicon brush to brush the herb, spices, and butter mixture onto the tops of the crescent pieces. Place in the oven and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes.
Step 6:
Remove the pan from the oven, let crackers fool for approximately 5 minutes, transfer to a serving dish, and enjoy!
