While I usually prefer a nice frozen margarita, an easy cocktail that you can throw into a shaker, pour, and enjoy is a great treat, especially at the end of a long day. This Blood Orange Margarita recipe is tangy, tart, and definitely delicious!

Ingredients:
- 1 oz. tequila
- 1 oz. triple sec
- 4 oz. blood orange juice
- 2 oz. lime juice
- 1 teaspoon granulated sugar (optional)
- Pinch of salt
- Ice
- Blood orange wedge for garnish (optional)
- Sugar or salt (optional for rim of glass)
Equipment:
- Knife
- 1 cup liquid measuring cup
- 1 oz. liquid measuring glass
- Teaspoon
- Serving glass

Directions:
- Prep the glass: Rub a slice of blood orange along the rim of the glass. Dip of the rim of the glass in sugar, or salt if that’s what you prefer. Set the glass aside.
- Fill a cocktail shaker about half-way with ice. Then, to the shaker, add the tequila, triple sec, blood orange juice, lime juice, sugar (optional), and salt. Put the top on the cocktail shaker and shake until all the ingredients are well mixed and cold, about 30-45 seconds.
- Pour into the glass and add an optional blood orange wedge garnish to make it look extra fancy. Enjoy!
