While we cannot travel right now, snack delivery services are a great way to try new foods from other places! My sister and I have tried, reviewed, and enjoyed a few of SnackCrate’s snack boxes. Each one is from a different country and offers 11-12 unique snacks and treats! In our latest box, we take an at-home road trip around the United States by trying snacks and sweets from 11 different states. We picked our least favorites, favorites, and then ranked everything else.
Make sure to check out the video I made with my sister where we try all of the snacks mentioned in this post!

10. & 11. Least Favorite: Tie Between Tuna Jerky & Elk Jerky:
Tuna Jerky (Hawaii): While this jerky is in the least favorite category, I’m not saying that this is a bad snack. The teriyaki flavor is actually quite nice because it brings both salty and sweet flavors. The reason it is tied for least favorite is simply because of personal preference. If I have jerky, I tend to enjoy pork, turkey, or beef more, so fish jerky is not on the top of my list.

Elk Jerky (New Mexico): This one was my sister’s least favorite because she said that the flavor on the back end was extremely sour and off-putting. She has firmly stated that she will not eat this one again. Personally, I thought this one was okay. I though it kind of smelled like little smokies and the flavor was decent.

9. Joey’s Black & White (New York):
This was an okay cookie, but definitely not the best. The cookie itself had a texture that was like a flattened cake and biscuit combination. It was not as dry as expected, but still too dry to really enjoy. The icing was way too thick, which made the cookie much too sweet.

8. Aunt Sally’s Pralines (Louisiana):
The flavor of this was was actually pretty good, albeit a little on the sweet side. The pecans added nice flavor and a little bit of texture. The one thing we did not enjoy about this snack was that it had grainy texture, so it was not a nice, creamy praline treat.

7. Marsha’s Buckeyes (Ohio):
While not being the best looking snack on this list, it had great flavor! These peanut butter balls were super creamy and coated in chocolate. Overall, these were simple, well-balanced treats that were not too sweet.

6. ABBA-ZABA (California):
This taffy was really hard when first chewing it, but as I continued to chew it, it became soft and almost creamy. The peanut butter center adds to the creaminess as well as adding a nice flavor.

5. Idaho Spud (Idaho):
A marshmallow center that completely melts in your mouth, is enrobed in chocolate, and finally covered shredded coconut. The combination of flavors and textures make this a very delightful treat!

4. Chesapeake Crab Chips (Virginia):
These chips had a salty pop of flavor when first eating them and then a subtle whisper of spice on the back end. Overall, they were good kettle chips with a nice flavor.

3. Better Made Barbecue Chips (Michigan):
These barbecue chips had really nice flavor! They had a familiar barbecue chip flavor, but with an extra pop of flavor that make them unique from your typical barbecue chip. They were also very thin, which made them super light and crispy.

1. & 2. Favorite Snacks: Tie Between Goo Goo Cluster & Cactus Candy
Goo Goo Cluster (Tennessee): This was my favorite snack because of the balance of flavors and textures. The chewy marshmallow nougat, creamy caramel, crunchy peanuts, and smooth chocolate all come together to make a delicious and very well-balanced treat! It was not an easy choice because there were so many tasty snacks in this box, but this one had to be my favorite.

Cactus Candy (Arizona): My sister’s favorite item out of this box was this sweet, bright treat. The prickly pear flavored jelly was soft and melted in mouth. The sugar coating on the outside provided a crunchy texture to provide a great textural contrast. Overall, this was purely a simple and delicious treat.
