Directions:

  1. Add the chocolate to a large microwave safe mixing bowl. Melt the chocolate in the microwave in short increments of 15-30 seconds at a time until completely melted. Make sure to stir in between each heating. If you use Wilton chocolate candy melts, once the chocolate is completely melted, add 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil and thoroughly mix it together.
  2. Dip one end of a lollipop stick in the chocolate. Squeeze the lollipop stick into the center of the Oreo© and then place it on piece of parchment paper. Repeat with the rest of the Oreo© cookies. Let the chocolate completely harden before proceeding to the next step.
  3. Dip each Oreo© in the chocolate and make sure that it gets completely coated. Shake off the excess chocolate and place the cookie pop back on the parchment paper. Repeat until all of the cookie pops are coated in a nice layer of chocolate. Let the chocolate completely harden before proceeding to the final step.
  4. Now, it’s time to decorate! Add some Wilton candy melts to a bowl*, melt them in the microwave in short increments of 15-30 seconds at a time, and then thin them out with a little bit of vegetable oil. Add the candy melts to a piping bag and drizzle them over the cookie pops. Before the candy melts set, add sprinkles.

Notes:

  • *There is no precise amount of vegetable oil to add to candy melts; however, a good rule of thumb is for every 1 cup of candy melts, add approximately 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
