How to Make Easy Rad Raspberry Champagne Cocktail Gummy Bears at Home!

One of my favorite things is coming up with new treats that not only look and taste great, but also get people excited to try them. This was exactly what happened when I made these homemade alcoholic gummy bears. I had the idea to make some champagne gummy bears, so after looking at a couple recipes and then creating my own, I tested my recipe and it worked wonderfully! Not only are these boozy bears tasty due to their balance of alcohol flavor and sweetness from the raspberry, but when I posted a picture of them to my @Adventures_In_Yum Instagram page, I got a fabulous response! When I got a comment saying that they needed the recipe, I knew I had to post it.

Not only am I posting the recipe here, but I also made a video and put it on YouTube. My channel is brand new and this is my very first cooking video! Here is the video:

Ingredients:

  • 6 ½ oz. champagne
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 3 packets of powdered gelatin (equivalent to about 9 gelatin sheets)
  • 1 ½ oz. raspberry vodka
  • 2 oz. raspberry jam, de-seeded
  • About 1/8 – ¼ teaspoon edible glitter (optional, but more fun!)

Equipment:

  • Small saucepan
  • Sheet tray
  • Measuring cups (1/2 cup and small 1oz. measuring glass)
  • Gummy bear molds*
  • Dropper*

Directions:

  • Add 6 ½ oz. champagne to a small sauce pan and place over low to medium heat. Once the champagne begins to simmer, remove from the stove and add the granulated sugar. Stir the champagne and sugar until the sugar fully dissolves. Next, add 3 packets of powdered gelatin (equivalent to 9 gelatin sheets), and stir it to make sure that it fully dissolves. Note: You may need to place the pan back on the stove on a low or medium-low heat in order to help the sugar and/or gelatin dissolve. Next add 1 ½ oz. raspberry vodka 2 oz. raspberry jam that has been de-seeded, and about 1/8 – ¼ teaspoon edible glitter. Note: The glitter is optional, but it is definitely more fun! Mix until everything else is well-combined.
  • Take a sheet tray and line it with paper towels. In case you accidentally spill, this will make clean up easier. Place your gummy molds on the sheet tray and use the included dropper to carefully fill the molds. You do not want to just pour the mixture in the molds because it will not only be messy, but it will also result in bubbles in your gummy bears. Place in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to let them set. Overnight is highly recommended!
  • Carefully remove the gummy bears from the molds and enjoy!

Notes:

  • These stick together a little more than store-bought gummy bears, but that honestly did not seem to bother my taste-testers! The bears do firm up after about 1-2 weeks in the refrigerator.
  • To store the gummy bears, put them in an air-tight container and keep them in the refrigerator.
